Earth Month Challenge to Live Greener

Every single action we take toward sustainability adds up! In the wise words of the Dalai Lama, “if you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito”.

This year is the 54th annual celebration of Earth Month! Back in 1968, Brad Follett started a “global clean-up month” which evolved into an annual Earth Month two years later in 1970. Earth Month is a global call to action to focus on climate solutions and steps to minimize our carbon footprint.

To celebrate Earth Month, we’ve compiled a list of green-living actions and we’re challenging you to do as many as possible this month!

Some items you may already be doing, but some items may be new. Try these actions over the next month and see how many you can complete. Once you try an action, you may find out how easy it is. The hardest part is often just getting started. Repeat these actions to build up habits and before you know it, they’ll be second nature.

If you want to check things off as you go, download this printable PDF checklist. You can place it on your fridge to inspire you each day. Just make sure to print it on paper that you can recycle after. You can also opt to use it digitally to save paper.

We hope that after trying these actions, you continue with them and build on them so they become natural.

Let us know how you scored for our Earth Month Challenge!
