12 MONTHS BEFORE

• Set the date
• Set your budget
• Settle on a theme/style and color scheme
• Start a wedding planning binder and start keeping track of payments, deposits, phone, numbers, deadlines, etc.
• Look at venues and sample caterers

10 MONTHS BEFORE

• Put together a guest list
• Book venue/s, caterers, and bartenders
• Book a band or DJ
• Book your officiant
• Book a photographer&/or videographer

8 MONTHS BEFORE

• Order your wedding dress
• Find a wedding stationery supplier and choose a style
• Order your save the dates
• Invite your friends and family to join your wedding party
• Register
• Block hotel rooms for out-of-town guests

6 MONTHS BEFORE

• Meet florist to plan bouquets, centerpieces, etc.
• Send out save-the-dates
• Plan a honeymoon
• Order bridal party attire

4 MONTHS BEFORE

• Order your wedding invitations and reply cards
• Order the cake
• Order the groomsmen attire
• Plan a rehearsal dinner
• Make necessary hair and makeup appointments
• Ask your MC and those giving speeches

2 MONTHS BEFORE

• Send out invitations and make a system for tracking rsvp’s
• Begin dress fittings
• Arrange necessary transportation
• Purchase rings
• Purchase gifts for wedding party, partner, etc.
• Book grooming appointments (hair, manicures, makeup, etc.)

4 WEEKS BEFORE

• Get your marriage license
• Meet with your photographer/videographer
• Make your seating plan and decide how to display it
• Order your day of stationery (menus, programs, favor tags, table numbers, etc)
• Decide on and order wedding favors
• Plan the rehearsal dinner

2 WEEKS BEFORE

• Give a shot list to the photographer
• Final fittings
• Finalize wedding vows and readings with your officiant
• Assemble wedding favors if needed
• Finalize seating chart
• Send schedules to your wedding party

1 WEEK BEFORE

• Send out final payments
• Confirm times/final guest count with caterers
• Pick up wedding dress and tuxedo
• Pack for honeymoon

1 DAY BEFORE

• Manicure and/or pedicure
• Attend the rehearsal dinner
• Give gifts to the wedding party
• Get a good night’s sleep
