Make Your Own Wildflower & Grass Bouquet

Fall is upon us and as the colors of leaves are changing from greens to golden yellows, I can’t help but get excited for all the wonderful things the season brings. Cozy scarves and sweaters, pumpkin spice lattes, and one of my favorite aspects of the season, fall feasts! I love getting back into the kitchen and having guests over for some home-cooked comfort food, so I’m always looking for ways to make the home feel cozy, too. Especially for Thanksgiving!

As tempting as it is to buy fresh fall bouquets from the store to add some pretty autumn touches to your home, fresh-cut flowers from the store aren’t usually all that eco-friendly.

If you want to make your home look cozy for fall gatherings, you can create your own bouquet from wildflowers and grasses found outside!

This time of year they won’t survive much longer, so it’s the perfect time to make use of them. Plus, they are easy and free to make, and you’ll be able to get outside and bring the beauty of the season into your own home.

Here’s What You Need:

• Wildflowers and grasses from outside
• Scissors
• A vase

Step 2: Trim the ends of the plants so they are the right size to fit in your vase.

Step 3: Arrange the plants in the vase and enjoy!

Note: If you choose to add cattails to your bouquet, use spray the tops with hairspray and let dry to prevent them from bursting inside your home.
