PPPC Best In Sustainability Award given to Botanical PaperWorks at Natcon 2022

Seed Paper Cards from Botanical PaperWorks Win PPPC Award for Best in Sustainability

Returning to in-person trade shows at Natcon 2022 was an exciting and overall success for Botanical PaperWorks this year. Not only did our team meet with many new distributors and end-users, and show off our new custom-branded handmade soaps, but we received the Best In Sustainability PPPC award with distributor Rachel Ramos from Lifestyles Promotions.

This award recognizes suppliers and distributors for their creativity, vision, and strategic effort in promotional product marketing. It’s an honor to receive this recognition from PPPC, one of the most well-known and regarded organizations in the promotional products industry.

It was also fun to hear about the creative promotions that fellow suppliers and distributors created. After the awards announcements, a networking party followed at Elington West Gallery where Heidi and Kayla got to mix and mingle with other attendees. Seed paper coasters even made an appearance!

Plantable Thank You Postcard, Winner for Best In Sustainability

double-sided plantable seed paper 4 by 6-inch postcard for Cheekbone Beauty created by Botanical PaperWorks and Lifestyles Promotions

The promotional product was a double-sided plantable seed paper 4 by 6-inch postcard that showed gratitude to customers for their orders and encouraged them to “make something beautiful” by planting the card to grow wildflowers. The campaign was a true three-way partnership of client (Cheekbone Beauty), distributor (Lifestyles Promotions), and supplier (Botanical PaperWorks).

An Indigenous-owned and operated Canadian-based company, Cheekbone Beauty produces cruelty-free, high-quality beauty products. Its mission is to create sustainable, clean color cosmetics while helping Indigenous youth see their enormous value by constructing a truly socially conscious beauty brand.

The primary objective of Cheekbone Beauty’s campaign was to give back to and thank the community of Cheekbone Warriors (customers and supporters) through a unique card that could be recycled and bring new life after using the product.

While many online stores include branded cards with each order, this card was unique in the statement that it made to its stakeholders – by using Canadian-made seed paper, Cheekbone Beauty teamed up with its customers to plant habitats for endangered insects and pollinators like bees and butterflies across Canada and the United States.

We’re grateful to Lifestyles Promotions & Cheekbone Beauty for the opportunity to create a fun, meaningful, sustainable promotion that spread joy and wildflowers. Congratulations to all the awards nominees and winners. Thank you to PPPC for hosting the awards show & networking party — we had a blast!
