Pick your favorite Free Printable Seed Paper Wedding Invitation Template and download the 2-up print-ready PDF by clicking on your preferred color option.
(NOTE: If you require a different color you can contact us and we’ll send you a custom download free of charge.)
Customize the text by opening the 2-up printable file you just downloaded in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. Click the EDIT TEXT button to see the editable areas.
You’ll be able to change the fonts, typography formatting and the font color to make it just the way you want. Be sure to update both text areas since the file is 2-up for printing. Start by editing one side, and then copy and paste the text boxes to make sure they are the same.
(NOTE: Be sure to edit the planting instructions if you are printing on herb seed paper.)
Once the template has been edited and is ready to go, be sure to do a test print on a regular sheet of 8.5 x 11″ paper to ensure that the invitation looks the way you would like. A printed proof is always the best way to catch any mistakes, so be sure to check it over carefully. You’ll also get an idea of how your printer is handling the color. Different printers will convert color in different ways so be sure it looks good on yours. If not, you can try to adjust some color levels in your print settings.
Once your proof is picture perfect, you can start printing on seed paper! We recommend using a top feed printer in which you place the paper at the top and it slides through and exits the printer at the bottom. Bottom feed printers can work, although it causes the paper to be subject to going through a series of rollers in a boomerang path, bending the paper and increasing the chance of it shifting. If printer feeding errors occur, try loading one sheet of plantable paper at a time.
Each wedding invitation sheet comes with crop marks built into the printed design. Use these crop marks to trim your 5×7 inch invitations down to size. Take a ruler, line it up to where the 2 black lines on the edge of the invitation are located then cut with a utility knife. We recommend using a metal ruler and trimming your invitations on a smooth surface such as a cutting mat that won’t be damaged from the knife.
