Strategy and Execution

Growing as a business has been an incredible journey for Botanical PaperWorks since it was founded 25 years ago. The company recognizes that it took not only dedication from its co-founders but loyalty from customers and employees to reach this milestone.

To celebrate that collaborative effort, they decided to create corporate gift bags filled with treats and eco-friendly items that would be handed out to employees at a catered company lunch. Showing appreciation for employees in this way would encourage team bonding and boost morale. Sharing photos of the event would also generate buzz about the company’s 25th year in business.

Giving quality, eco-friendly branded t-shirts and giveaways was a priority to Botanical PaperWorks as the company values doing good for the earth and reducing waste. With this in mind, the company assembled reusable kraft gift bags with plantable seed paper tags featuring a custom-designed emblem for the occasion.

They then added branded Botanical PaperWorks t-shirts by BELLA+CANVAS from Toba Sportswear which they got printed by Above All Screening. The tees are sustainably made with clean quality cotton and eco-friendly dyes using 7x less water than many other clothing manufacturers. Plus, BELLA+CANVAS recycles the majority of its unused t-shirt material into other products.

Employees also received a cheerful daisy cookie from Sweet Impressions and handmade soap bars from Botanical PaperWorks which were wrapped in seed paper. To complete the gift set, a keepsake print with a personalized message from CEO, Heidi Reimer-Epp was also included.

Results

Employees were excited to receive the gift bags and had a lot of positive things to say about the giveaways inside. They raved about the cozy fit, color, and soft material of the Botanical PaperWorks t-shirts and were enthusiastic to wear them both at work and out.

It feels great representing Botanical Paperworks with our soft and comfortable t-shirts. The fit and colour is very nice and it’s good to wear around the city on a warm day.
