How to Plant Seed Paper Wedding Invitations

Shared values play a significant role in marriage, and reflecting them through your wedding stationery is so special. That’s why plantable seed paper wedding invitations are becoming a leading sustainable wedding trend. For couples dedicated to eco-conscious decisions, integrating plantable wedding stationery aligns seamlessly.

Plantable wedding stationery is eco-friendly since it’s made from recycled paper embedded with seeds. That means the paper can be planted after. No waste is left behind, just wildflowers!

If you received a seed paper wedding invitation and are ready to plant and grow wildflowers, watch this video to learn how, or read more below.

Step One: Prepare Your Pot

Fill a pot 2/3 full of soil. Lightly press the soil down, adding more if necessary.

Step Two: Plant the Paper

Place your plantable wedding invitation in the soil. Rip paper and overlap slightly if needed. Spread 1/8 of an inch of soil over top to cover the paper lightly.

Step Three: Water & Sunlight

Water and sunlight are seed paper’s best friends. Make sure the pot of soil is damp but not swimming with water. During germination, keep the paper moist and in a spot with lots of sunlight.

Step Four: After Care

Once sprouts appear, keep the paper moist, but be careful not to overwater. When they become sturdy plants, water only as needed.

It’s that easy! You don’t need a green thumb to grow good things from seed paper. Find all of our designer wedding collections on our website. From save the dates to thank you cards and everything in between.
