{crafts} Seed Paper Holiday Star Garland

Do you need to spice up your holiday decor? This super easy seed paper holiday star garland is just the thing to add a bit of magic to your space. Add them to a fireplace mantel, a doorway, or a window. This DIY is so easy you can make one for each! When the season is over, you can reuse them for the next year or plant the paper and grow beautiful wildflowers.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Three colored sheets of 8.5 x 11’’ seed paper
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Glue stick
  • Twine

Note: We used Bright Red, Woodsy Green, and Pastel Yellow. ‘Tis the season, but you can choose whichever colors work with your space.

1. Fold each of your seed paper sheets in half. Doing this will help you to make matching stars (This will be helpful when gluing).

2. On your first sheet of seed paper, draw or trace a few stars (roughly 2-3 inches big). Repeat with your other sheets of seed paper.

3. Cut out the stars (roughly 15 total).

4. Measure out your twine, and reference where you’d like to hang it (make it a bit longer than you think).

5. Find the centre of your twine, the first star will go there.

6. Apply glue to one side of the star and place the middle of your twine across.

7. Place the matching star on top and press together.

8. Repeat until you run out of stars.

9. Lastly, tie loops on the ends for easy hanging.

Now you’re all set to decorate your home with seed paper star garland!
